Carolina Crossroads

WA HOOO!!!! The blocks are done!

Pattern setting as per Bonnie's directions. I'm liking it!

With black sashing....

Or yellow...

Here's alittle of each...I saw someone's picture somewhere, sorry I can't remember where, who had used sashing and I really liked it. Not sure if I should sash or not. I'm liking the yellow better than the black one, but I like it without too. I'm going to work on quilting my Bargello Bowl tomorrow while I percolate on the CC.

Hello Debbie,
I like it with the yellow sashings but without sashings too. ;-))

I like the yellow sashing if you were to have sashing but I also like it without (not much help am I?)
I also like your reverse stashbusting, you got some good stuffs there!

I can only dream of buying the quantities you did, fabric is around $20-24/m here in Australia!

Wow! Youand I either have the same taste, or the same stash! Our colors match.
I also tried with and without sashing layouts before finally sewing the blocks together. My choice was to go WITHOUT. I admit that was partly because I didn't want to do any more piecing at that point!
I am currently quilting the top in four sections on my DSM. now on piece #3. This is my first time to quilt in sections, andit is working well. (The final seams on the back are a little bumpy.)

You are doing good work--who will be the lucky recipient?

I think the "crossroads" stand out more without sashing. :-)

Both sashing colors make it very striking and make the colors really pop. If you decide to use one or the other or none, it will be very pretty.

My vote would be no sashing. It's quite lovely as is!

No matter what you decide the quilt will be gorgeous. I like the black sashing best your decision might depend on how large you want the quilt to be.

Debbie, your blocks are beautiful.
I am going to sash my blocks in blue because I want to go quilt as you go and sashings will make it just that bit easier.
For yours though it is so pretty without sashings, however if you fo go with sashings my vote would be with the yellow.

Remember though, it is YOUR quilt.

I am not helpful at all because I like them all...without sashing, and with black or yellow...they are all wonderful versions of this quilt! Go with whatever makes you happiest.
I love your bargello quilt too, and your thread choice is yummy...hope it quilts well for you. I have had good luck with King Tut thread, but just on my domestic machine.

I like it without the sashing. It makes people wonder how it was constructed. Congrats on finishing all of the blocks! They look terrific!
